“Versatile is certainly the word for VOCES8. The award-winning a capella octet has a repertoire that stretches from early English choral pieces to jazz standards and recent pop tunes. But above all, it is the on- stage presence, character and connection with the audience that has made it so successful.”
The Telegraph

“Voices sounding as though hand-picked for sheer vocal beauty, perfect transparency of intricate contrapuntal textures, extreme cohesion, as well as impeccable accuracy and mutual attentiveness, characterized voice culture of the highest level.”
The Jerusalem Post Online

“There were only eight voices, but what voices! The harmonies were pure, with tonal clarity and expressive phrasing. The range of their repertoire demonstrated just how versatile they are;
and all genres, irrespective of the complexity of the original scores, were given the same respect.
Whether they were singing a madrigal or a pop song, the delivery was technically flawless
and had the same beauty of vocal colour.”
The Royal Gazette, Bermuda

VOCES8 is passionate about music education and is the flagship ensemble of the music charity VCM Foundation. Engaging in a broad range of outreach work that reaches up to 40,000 people a year, the group also runs an annual programme of workshops and masterclasses at the Foundation’s home in London, the Gresham Centre at St. Anne & St. Agnes Church. The ensemble is dedicated to supporting promising young singers and awards eight annual choral scholarships through the VOCES8 Scholars initiative.
