Artist Details:

Imagine a performance where a concert pianist displays dazzling virtuosity, complemented by the lush, joyous sounds of a brass quintet [plus one!].

Ralph Votapek has sustained an enviable career since winning a Naumburg Award and the First Van Cliburn International Competition, with concerto engagements from London to Taiwan, and recitals in the major venues of North and South America. Worldwide critics praise him as
“a stupendous pianist” (Buenos Aires Noticias), “heroic in every sense” (Los Angeles Times),
“a pianist of imagination and style” (London Times).

Join us for a spellbinding performance of Gershwin’s solo piano gems, a dash of Debussy, and, finally, a rousing arrangement of Rhapsody in Blue with the Corpus Christi Brass Quintet + 1 joining Mr. Votapek.
