Artist Details:

Among the finest young string quartets performing today.  The Quartet was formed in 2008 at the Cleveland Institute of Music and they continue to amaze their listeners with their “high-octane” performances.  The all-American quartet has been awarded prizes at nearly every major competition in the United States.  They have performed across North America, Europe, and Asia in venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Library of Congress, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center.  Members of the Quartet hold degrees from the Peabody Conservatory, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and the University of Texas at Austin, where they served as the first Graduate String Quartet-in-Residence.  They also served as the Graduate Quartet-in-Residence at the Juilliard School.  James Dunham is soloist, chamber musician and teacher and active internationally as a recitalist and guest artist. He has collaborated with such renowned artists as Emmanuel Ax, Joshua Bell, Lynn Harrell, Cho-Liang Lin, and members of the American, Guarneri, Juilliard, Takács, and Tokyo Quartets. Mr. Dunham is Professor of Viola at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music.
